Before the title game, Kansas won the previous NCAA tournament match up 88-76 in Chicago (2007 – Round of 32).

Not a UK fan, but Johnson did take a bunny hop. KU fans should be mad at Johnson for missing that free throw whcih would’ve kept Michigan from forcing overtime this year.

I’m imagining, but i’m still not seeing it. No way anyone was beating Kentucky in the Tournament. UK was on a mission and Bmac would have made no difference. UK would have still outlasted KU

Imagine if bmac was eligible for this season. Ku wins hands down

Great programs. Look out next year for both teams

God that travel call was TERRIBLE. In a national championship game? Really? Kentucky still woulda won most likely but the last 20 seconds shoulda been more fun.

Brings a tear to my eye. A tear of great joy and pride. To be a wildcat :’)

This was the overall #1 vs. the strongest #2 seed. Kansas (in this game) shot 35.5 percent which was the same stat in their 2011 Elite 8 loss to #11 VCU.

This whole team was fearless. You can just see the confidence they had in themselves and their teammates.

I’ve had dyslexia all my life, so thanks for calling me challenged. Appreciate it.

Oh sorry let me spell it out for the challenged. Kentucky was winning very big. Late in the second part of the game which is known as a half UK stopped running the ball up court and playing free to go into a more conservative style to shorten the game. It kind of backfired on them and bogged down their offense. At no point in that game did I think UK was in serious jeopardy of losing.

  • bro987 3 weeks ago

    That made no sense whatsoever.

UK great program, KU obviously great program also, i respect UK. UK get ready to face a team with all americans this time and not the least talented in Self’s 10 year tenure. Rock Chalk!!!!!!!! Hopefully different outcome.

Sporting a fourteen point lead in the NCAA Tournament Final? This team was just head & shoulders above every team. They should, in my opinion, go down as one of the most dominant of all-time. Going 38-2 in todays game was just amazing to watch.

  • ukwizard 3 weeks ago

Kansas was done in the first half. They made a come back because Cal was coaching to get the hell out of there in the second half and not letting them fly.

really thought Davis Traveled with the ball before he went to the foul line. Had that Walk been called, KU very possibly cuts the lead to 3 and it’s anyones game. The better team won. However, with the lead they had earlier in the 1st half and at the break, you would have sworn new players were wearing UK jerseys. Had KU not missed some open Dunks and easy shots, we could be looking at a possible KU/Memphis outcome. Cannot call this UK team the best. 1990 Unlv still is, their 91 team should Won.
